WELT’s in-depth interview with Berlin Techno DJ & Producer Stella Bossi

In October 2025, WELT published an exclusive feature by journalist Ralf Niemczyk that takes readers behind the closed doors of Berlin’s KitKat Club. In a rare move, the iconic venue, long known for its strict photo ban and libertine spirit, opened up for the first time to film a Party, a full DJ Set by producer and Techno DJ Stella Bossi.

Bossi, who became famous through her tongue-in-cheek social media clips and her darkly humorous Techno persona, describes how the idea was born after a Symbiotikka night in late 2024. She explains that many clubs in Berlin are struggling, not only financially but culturally, as a generation raised on digital media loses touch with the physical roots of clubbing. Through her project, she wanted to create “a keyhole view” that could restore curiosity while respecting privacy.

Throughout the interview, Bossi balances her love for the underground with a clear-eyed view of change. The former business student recalls sleeping on a friend’s sofa when she moved back to Berlin, before rising to international prominence with her label TBMF. “I was fearless and always an independent person,” she says. The conversation expands beyond her own story to the broader future of nightlife — from young digital natives who “wait to be triggered by content” to the new wave of middle-aged ravers finding therapy in dance.

Bossi also addresses how the video was made under careful consent rules, explaining that everyone visible “knew exactly what they were signing up for.” Despite embracing visibility on social platforms, she insists that real connection cannot be captured through a screen.
